More than 1,600 km of coastline, offering ever-changing scenery: rocks plunging into the sea and long stretches of beach with fine sand, crystal clear water and rich sea-beds protected by marine reserves. Sicily is without doubt the perfect destination if you love the seaside!

Starting our exploration from the island of Ustica, we find a suggestive pool surrounded by black, volcanic cliffs, a fabulous natural aquarium with numerous beaches, hidden bays and rich underwater worlds in which to dive.

On the northern coast of Sicily, we find some stunning beaches, starting with the gold sands of Cefalù, the ideal place for a magical sunset swim. Further on, we come to the Terrasini coastline, with its distinctive promontory and Faraglioni rocks overlooking a transparent and iridescent sea. The beaches and sea-bed at Isola delle Femmine, near Palermo, are just as beautiful, with many archaeological artefacts. These are followed by the white beaches of Trappeto, overlooking an intense blue sea, known for its plentiful seashells. Immediately after Trappeto comes Balestrate, with 8 km of fine sand, crystal clear, shallow waters just by a large pine forest. Continuing on towards the Province of Trapani, we come to the beach of San Vito Lo Capo, which seems like a Caribbean beach with its fine, white sand, overlooked by a large promontory with its splendid view over the surrounding Zingaro nature reserve.
Further south, we find the unique spectacle of the Marsala and Stagnone salt beds, where mountains of salt and mills create an unforgettable atmosphere. If we continue, we will reach the Petrosino coastline, overlooking clear waters with good fishing, characterised by an alternation of fine sand beaches and rocky limestone outcrops. Around an hour and a half’s drive from Petrosino, this limestone peaks in the scenic Scala dei Turchi (Turks’ Stairway), a bright white limestone cliff with soft, undulating forms that make it look like a huge stairway to the sea.

Along the coast, past the beaches of Marina di Ragusa, we reach the territory of Santa Croce Camerina with the splendid Punta Secca coastline, made famous by the TV series starring Commissario Montalbano, whose home overlooks the beach with its fine white sand. Further on are the golden beaches of Pozzallo, which are particularly popular with tourists and are animated from morning to late at night.
Still continuing, we reach the Pachino area where we can admire stunning beaches, starting from the spectacular Isola delle Correnti where the Ionian Sea meets the Sicilian channel, much loved by surfers. Slightly north from Pachino we find the white sands of San Lorenzo, in Marzamemi, and the Vendicari reserve which includes the splendid Cala Mosche beach.

Moving further north, past the Fontane Bianche beach, we reach the Augusta district with Brucoli port, a sort of 500 metre long estuary, that offers some lovely views. Lastly, still in the territory of Augusta, we find the long stretches of golden sand of Agnone Bagni, which offer a spectacular view of the coastline culminating in the Etna volcano, whose imposing figure overlooks a scene of rare beauty.
